I've learned a lot in the past few months.
a lot.

I've learned that I can't change people
but I can pray.

I've learned that apart from God,
I am nothing.

I've learned that the truth sets you free.

I've learned that you have to hit rock bottom
before you'll rise-or start rising to your full potential

I've learned that life's not always fair

I've learned that I really need to start living by this quote:

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway. - Mother Theresa

And some people are not going to like it.
But that's ok.

I've learned that sometimes, you just can't please people.

But in the end, it's between you and God.
And that's all that matters.

I've learned that learning life lessons is unpleasant, hard, and humiliating
But they are necessary to personal growth

I've learned to value my privacy
what little I do have.

I've learned to surround myself with loving, caring, and amazing family and friends.

The ones who:
support you no matter what, (Michael)
stick by your side, (Robbie)
Help you pick yourself up, (Pastors Phil T., & Tony)
tell you they love you even when they are so unbelievably disapointed (Mom)
Hold you while you bawl (Dad)
Offer a smile and a hug (Monica)
Tell it to you straight (Pat)
Pray constantly on your behalf (Grandma Weesie)
Provide themselves as somebody to talk to without judgement (Brittne)

So I'm surrounding myself with more people like that-they've always been here- but now, for the first time, I'm choosing to really take advantage of the unconditional love they offer.

To New beginnings.

What about the people who were there for you before you even knew half of those people on your list? Just a thought?

Well said Morgyn. Your aunt does make a good point. There is unconditional love in a ton more places for you. Grasp it and appreciate that as well. I love you. Mom
